I checked the owner's manual for the Lippert Coachsteps and to get to the motor it says, "Remove the two bolts that hold the step arm collars to the drive shaft. This will allow you to operate the steps manually."
I made a cut out of the instruction manual for you which shows where it says this. I have also added the directions what you will need to do in order to replace the motor; the correct part for this is the Replacement Motor for Lippert Electric Coach Step # LC301695.
